The July 6 accident that killed Gray resident Rochelle Plummer, 43, also injured six others after the motorcyclists tried to avoid colliding with a van driven by James Giberson, 29, of Sebago. According to Cumberland County Sheriff Mark Dion, Giberson was making a legal left turn and he has not been cited for any violations.

Among those injured in the accident were:

• Glenn Meehan, 37, a member of the Gray Fire Department, sustained minor abrasions and was not taken to the hospital. He was not wearing a helmet.

• Joseph Kashinsky, 56, of Windham, sustained a head injury and was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland by helicopter. He was not wearing a helmet.

• Capt. William Plummer, 61, of the Gray Fire Department sustained abrasions and was not taken to the hospital. He was not wearing a helmet.

• Deputy Samuel Cofone, 45, of Scarborough and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, sustained leg injuries and abrasions and was taken to the hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

• Warren Nason, 49, of Gorham, sustained minor abrasions and was not taken to the hospital. He was wearing a helmet.

• Meghan Fenton, 22, of Gray, sustained minor abrasions. She was not wearing a helmet.
