On June 27, at 6:25 p.m., police responded to Wal-Mart on Payne Road for a report of shoplifting. According to police, a woman had attempted to shoplift items including a thong, Bermuda shorts and a crew-neck shirt by placing them in a shopping cart and pushing it out of the store without paying. Susan Powers, 51, of 89 Auburn St., Portland, was arrested and charged with theft by unauthorized taking/transfer.
Missing
On June 27, at 6:30 p.m., police responded to a report of theft at a residence on Clover Leaf Lane. According to police, the victim reported that money and two rings had been taken. Possible suspects were identified.
Party’s over
On June 29, at 1:26 a.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at Coachlantern Lane East. According to police, three intoxicated males had just returned home from Old Port and were arguing in a parking area because one of the men was intoxicated and refused to go inside a residence.
