Walter Lunt, educational liaison of Windham Historical Society, he stands on the edge of the remnant of a structure at the site of the gunpowder mill in the Newhall section of Windham, speaking to third-graders. He reports a record number of requests this year from the Windham Primary School for the Windham history presentation and bus tour, provided free of charge by the historical society.
Nine classes of third-graders each received a slide presentation and a bus tour of historic sites. The Windham Historical Society is grateful to members of the Friends (Quaker) Church and to Donald and Elaine Dickinson (Parson Smith House) for their contributions to the tour.
