A Casco woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend Friday night.

Mariea Whitney, 45, was arrested Friday in Casco by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office on a charge of aggravated domestic violence after she allegedly stabbed her boyfriend, a 42-year-old Windham man.

Whitney was taken to Cumberland County Jail and held on $15,000 cash bail.

The sheriff’s department did not release the name of the victim. The man, who had a stab wound in his abdomen, was taken to Bridgton Hospital and then transferred to Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Capt. Don Goulet said the sheriff’s department responded to the incident at 9 Rosewood Road, Casco, after a call at 7:12 p.m. May 16.

Goulet said the charge Whitney faces is a Class B crime.
