Take a tour of centuries past at a free medieval day Sunday, May 18, from 1-5 p.m. at the Casco Public Library.
Come join the fun with an afternoon of medieval activities including armored
combat, music and dance, crafts, food, and games geared to all ages. Participation is welcome, but medieval garb not required.
The day is presented by the Society for Creative Anachronism Inc., which is a nonprofit educational organization devoted to study of the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
The organization is part of the living history movement, which means that members try to reproduce various aspects of the culture and technology of their period, as well as doing more traditional historical research.
