Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputies are asking any one with information connected to a man accused of robbing the the Big Apple store in Gray Sunday night to come forward.

According to Cpt. Dave Williams, the store clerk reported a white male entered the store on Portland Road, wearing a black scarf to conceal his face, and brandishing a rifle at about 9:45 p.m.

The suspect demanded money, and walked behind the counter to take cash from the register. Police have not determined how much money was stolen. No injuries were reported in the robbery.

The suspect was described as being between 5 feet, 8 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and wearing a brown-knit cap, black jacket, and dark pants and shoes.

The sheriff’s office has not made any arrests in connection with the incident. Anyone with information connected to the robbery is asked to call Detective Dan Down at the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at (207) 774-1444 ext. 2124.
