We wish to publicly express our thanks for the generosity of local businesses in assisting to make the Project Linus National Make A Blanket Day one to remember. Their donations enable us to focus our line on creating quilts and our funds on materials.

The Bridgton Subway provided a party platter; Hannaford’s, a veggie plate; Tony’s Foodland and Four Season’s Variety, beverages; while Jordan’s Store and Adison’s in Sebago prepared pizzas for more nourishment for the workers. Bridgton Dunkin’ Donuts, Baldwin’s Whistle Stop and Shaw’s in North Windham provided the appetizers and desserts to round out our table for lunch. The Sebago Center Church donated the use of facilities and the weatherman cooperated by sending no snowstorm to hinder travel.

Sixteen volunteers combined efforts to supply 32 quilts for Sue Kirk, the Southern Maine Coordinator for Project Linus, to take with her at the end of the day. Another 10 quilts were in progress and have since been finished for the next delivery.
