The Windham School Department confirmed that its transportation director is resigning at the end of the school year.

Transportation Director Margo Fournier declined to comment and directed all questions to Superintendent Sandy Prince.

Prince said Fournier is resigning under her own free will and the resignation is unrelated to recent revelations that a bus driver in picked up kids after he told her he was suicidal.

Prince said Fournier asked him about resigning in the fall.

“We appreciate that she wanted to finish out the year,” said Prince. He said Fournier will keep her position until around June, and then will stay with the department as a dispatcher.
