Yoga is the perfect exercise for pregnancy and for the mother in the year after birth. Not only does this gentle exercise strengthen the body and encourage tone and flexibility, it also creates a sense of well-being for the body, mind and spirit.

The Feb. 7 Tour and Information Night at The Birth House in Bridgton will give you a chance to try out some yoga for yourself – free of charge! If you have a yoga mat, bring it with you, but mats are not required.

If you are pregnant or have given birth in the past six months, we invite you to attend this free class being offered by Danielle Denwood, yoga instructor. Tours of the birth center are available between 6:30 and 7 p.m. and the yoga begins at 7 p.m.

For those who enjoy yoga, an eight-week series of pregnancy and post partum yoga classes will begin in February at The Birth House. Denwood will be the instructor for those classes and the cost will be $75 for the series or $12 for drop-ins. For more information please call 647-5919 or visit our Web site at Www.thebirthhousebridgton.com
