A single-car accident on Route 107 in North Baldwin sent four people to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries.
The female driver lost control of her Ford Taurus around 8 p.m. Tuesday night, according to Baldwin volunteer firefighter Tara Greene. The car crossed the centerline, hit a snow bank on the opposite side of the road, flipped onto its roof and slid approximately 20 yards, snapping the guide wire from a CMP transformer pole. The car narrowly missed a stonewall and came to a stop in front of Greene’s driveway.
According to reports, in addition to the driver, an adult female and two children were in the car at the time of the accident. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Greene and her father Ted Greene from Sebago were at home when the accident occurred and were able to radio for assistance.
