Strategic Biosolutions, an antibody production company located on Anderson Road in South Windham, recently celebrated a ribbon cutting for its new 15,000 square-foot barn (circled in photograph below) to hold rabbits, whose blood is used for antibody research and vaccine development. Above, Windham Economic Development Director Keith Luke presents Strategic Biosolutions president Matthew Knight a plaque commemorating the occasion. According to Luke, the expansion is a boon both for the expanding company and for the town in terms of commercial property taxes and jobs. Luke said he and Town Manager Anthony Plante worked hard to court the expansion since the company had been considering possible expansion at the company’s other branches in the United States. “We are excited to expand our manufacturing and production capacity and extend our relationship with the town of Windham. This added capacity will alleviate production constraints and enable us to further accelerate our growth,” said Knight. Photo courtesy of Town of Windham
