Kyle Hoglund, 6, of Londonderry, N.H., got to see more than his grandparents when he came for a visit to Bridgton last week. On Nov. 23, Hoglund made an early Christmas request to Santa Claus at the Bridgton Community Center, asking for “Red Sox stuff. ” Hoglund said his favorite Red Sox player is Jacoby Ellsbury.

Santa, who arrived via the Bridgton Fire & Rescue boat, capped the annual Festival of Lights celebration that was also marked by a parade along Main Street and the lighting of the town Christmas tree outside the Bridgton Community Center by Town Manager Mitchell Berkowitz.
