Stuart Leckie, general manager of Bon Appetit dining services at St. Joseph’s College, and Kirsten Hewes, owner of Sydney’s Restaurant in Naples, have set up a trust fund to help employees Brian and Melissa Penpraese cope with an unfortunate accident that happened to Brian on Sunday, Nov. 4.

Brian suffered a serious head trauma while removing their dock for the winter. Brian and Melissa will need all the support they can get to help pay for medical bills throughout Brian’s recovery as they have limited medical coverage.

Brian has been the sous chef at Sydney’s for 14 years, while Melissa has run Songo Locks Snack Bar for the past four years during the summer and worked full-time at Bon Appatit located at St Joe’s College in the off-season. They also have a 12-year-old son named Dalton.

Any donation amount would be appreciated. Makes checks payable to “Brian & Melissa” and address payments to: Norway Savings Bank; Attn: Brenda Day; PO Box 1455, Naples ME 04055.
