Our mayor must have purpose and vision coupled with honesty and integrity. These attributes, more than anything else, should embody the person we elect to be the CEO of Westbrook. This is a real job where people’s lives are affected by the quality of this CEO. Honesty, integrity, trust, dignity and respect are core leadership values. Bruce Chuluda brings these to the voting booth.

During his two terms as mayor, he has developed a professional team of department heads and understands that effective government is all about relationships and partnerships. Mayor Chuluda knows how to foster teamwork and work diligently for transparency in government. Transparency paves the way for community participation in local governance and fruition of shared goals and aspirations.

Spending taxpayer’s dollars is a serious responsibility. It is the

elected official’s obligation to spend these dollars wisely. When

Bruce votes to spend a public dollar he asks: “Is this necessary? Is this the best value for the cost? How will we measure the results of this investment?” Each dollar spent should improve the safety, property values and investments and living environment of the people who paid those taxes.

Over the past few years, I observed the actions and decisions of the mayoral candidates in various settings. From my perspective, one person excelled in leadership, integrity, and common sense – Bruce Chuluda. There might just be a very good reason that he was elected and you turned out the Democratic challenger in the last election. The past is a good indicator of the future, and our hope for the future now is Bruce Chuluda as our mayor. I trust Bruce because he is sincere and has demonstrated and proven his capability to attain defined goals for our community – for all of us. As a citizen concerned with the direction and future of Westbrook, I urge all residents to exercise their right to vote on Election Day and vote Bruce Chuluda for mayor.
