Patriot Youth Basketball

Patriot Youth Basketball will be held on Saturday mornings starting in December and ending in early February. Boys in grades 1 through 6 will be held at Gray-New Gloucester Middle School and the girls in grades 1-6 at Gray-New Gloucester High School. Specific times for the grade groupings will be announced in the registration flier that will be available in two weeks. Winter Sports at Lost Valley

We will be offering alpine skiing and snowboarding again this year on Thursdays starting in January. Participants can register for lessons, rentals, just lift tickets or any combination. Bus transportation is also available from each of the schools. General information will be available through the schools in two to three weeks. There will also be an evening registration night that will be mandatory to attend.

Healthy Hometowns Nordic Skiing

We will again be partnering up with the Maine Winter Sports Center at Pineland to provide this excellent afterschool program. Children in grades 3 to 5 at Dunn School are scheduled to start as soon as there is enough snow covering the ground. The G-NG Middle School program will also be offered, however we are not sure at this time if there will actually be a “learn to ski” program or just participation in the Gray-New Gloucester Middle School Nordic ski team? Again, information on this program will be available in the next month.

For more information on any of these programs, call the Gray Recreation Department at 657-2323 and ask for Dean Bennett.
