For three years, Eastgate Christian School in New Gloucester has awarded the Good Christian Citizenship scholarship to a deserving student. This year, the $500 tuition scholarship was awarded to fourth grader Nathaniel Tillson for the 2007-2008 school year. Nathaniel is the son of Ronald and Cynthia Tillson of East Poland.

According to Principal Ronald Giasson, Tillson received the scholarship because he demonstrated a consistently positive attitude and encouraged others, showed concern for others by treating them with respect and by being helpful, working hard and always striving to do his personal best with a thankful heart.
