The Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce announces its sixth annual Live and Silent Auction & Taste of the Towns buffet dinner, Friday, Sept. 21, at Camp Sunshine in South Casco.

This popular event, designed to promote local business and to raise funds for the chamber and Camp Sunshine, will run from 5:30-9 p.m.

Taste of the Towns begins at 6 p.m. and will feature at least 18 local restaurants and caterers serving appetizers, salads, vegetarian fare, hearty main courses and desserts.

The silent auction, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., includes certificates, gift baskets and items from more than 80 businesses. The live auction from 8 – 9 p.m., promises lively bidding on vacation packages, local cruises and boat rentals, furniture, art, and more. Tickets are $25 per person and the event is open to the public.

Proceeds will benefit the chamber in its support of economic development, tourism and education scholarships at four area high schools. A portion of receipts are given to Camp Sunshine, a retreat for children with life-threatening illnesses and their

families.

Chamber members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this marketing opportunity by donating a product or service to the auction, and by purchasing tickets for a fun night out with family, friends, employees or co-workers.

To donate items or purchase tickets, contact the Sebago Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce at 892-8265. See the growing list of auction items and buy tickets online at www.sebagolakeschamber.com.

This event is sponsored in part by Clark Associates Insurance, Maine Bank & Trust, Point Sebago Resort and Windham Wal-Mart.
