The Gray-New Gloucester Patriots, unlike their NFL namesakes, have had a tough start to the football season.

The winless Patriots came up on the wrong end of a 58-14 score against Greely last Friday.

The offensive highlights for the Patriots came in the second quarter when quarterback Nick Audet scored on a nine-yard touchdown run and Trevor McCutcheon added the two -point conversion.

The Patriots got their second touchdown on defense as lineman Alex Gaskell pounced on a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown.

This Friday night the Patriots travel to 1-1 York for a 7 p.m. game.
