On May 8, at around 8:45 a.m., a Scarborough High School student reported a Dooney and Burke purse, valued at $225, containing a $300 iPod, was stolen. The items were obtained later in the day and the student did not wish to press charges.

On May 8, at around 7:30, a 5-year-old was reported missing from the Bessworth School after a T-ball game. It was later discovered that his coach had taken him home after the game because his parents had not yet arrived.

Drug bust

On May 11, at around 8:30 a.m., a female suspect and an unknown male attempted to use a false prescription to acquire pain-killer Darvocet over the phone from the pharmacy at Shaw’s on Payne Road.

Hot off the grill

On May 13, at around 11:45 a.m., a resident of Checkley Point reported a black gas grill and an attached propane tank, worth a total of $700, was stolen.
