Alumni Banquet
The annual Windham High School Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 19 at Windham Middle School. Hundreds of reservation forms have been mailed. Deadline for reservations is May 11; anyone who went to Windham High School is welcome to attend.
A pork roast dinner will be served and new officers elected. The class of 1957 will be the head table this year. For more information, e-mail kso48@aol.com. Cost of the banquet is $10 per person and can be mailed with a note to reserve seats to: Windham Alumni Association, c/o Tammy Haskell, Treasurer, 264 Gray Road, Windham, ME 04062. attendees can pick up their tickets at the event. Doors open at 3 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Veterans
Robin Shepard, the State of Maine Veterans Advocate, will be available from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Windham Veterans Center, Wednesday, May 9. He will be assisting veterans in applying for benefits. The service is free and you do not need to make an appointment.
In Brighton
Wes Mason, Varney Mill Road, is in the New England Rehabilitation Hospital of Portland. He has been there for three weeks and will either be coming home or move to somewhere else.
May Birthdays
The following Windham residents celebrate their birthdays in May: Tim Gallagher and his daughter, Maura Gallagher; Olivia Gilvey and her brother, Alexander Gilvey and Joan Tobin.
Visiting
Herbert Cram, his wife, Pearl and their daughter, Linda Jean Bird are here from Toutle, Washington. They will be here a month visiting his family in Maine and Massachusetts. While here they are staying with his sister, Elsie Haskell of Nash Road.
To Florida
Kimberly Morrell, Gray Road, recently spent a week in Sorrento, Fla. She stayed with her sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Bill Tom.
From New york
George Libby recently spent a week here from New York, visiting with family. he stayed with his mother, Beulah Mason of Varney Mill Road but visited with his sister, Darlene, of Naples and his brother, Richard of Oxford.
