Small Business Week will be observed in Scarborough April 29-May 5 with a variety of events at the Scarborough Public Library.

Business After 5 and opening reception is Monday, April 30, from 5-7 p.m., sponsored by Hannaford supermarket in Scarborough.

Lunch and Learns, from noon-1 p.m., include:

“Getting the Word Out, “presented by Jim Milliken, Wednesday, May 2. Milliken is a Portland-based training consultant who specializes in issues of communication and management.

“Business Insurance,” presented by Frank Kimball,

Thursday, May 3. Kimball is an 18-year veteran of insurance regulation at the Maine Bureau of Insurance. He will talk about business insurance in the property/casualty lines, including liability, property, worker’s compensation and disability coverages.
