This drawing of the Windham Center Library and the Old Grocery show these buildings at their original location at the corner of Route 202 and Windham Center Road. Both historic buildings are the property of the Windham Historical Society, and both were built before Maine became a state (1820). The little library building to the left, has been moved twice since this drawing was made and is now located next to the 1833 brick Historical Society headquarters, where finishing touches on its renovations will allow it to be open to the public this summer. The Old Grocery, now with some posts right on the doorstep (due to the signal light installation) will also again be open to the public in a few weeks. Watch this paper for opening dates and hours for each historic building. Photo courtesy of Windham Historical Society
