Safety Course
You only have Friday afternoon, April 6, to call the Town Clerk’s Office, at 892-1900 and sign up for the Hunter Safety Course that will be held at the Windham Public Library on Saturday, April 7 and Saturday, April 14. The time is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must attend both days to receive your certificate. The instructor will be Phil Guimond and the cost is $5.
Birthday
Josie Morrell celebrated her birthday, April 2. It was a quiet birthday for her.
Veterans
On April 11, Mr. Robin Shepard, the State of Maine Veterans Advocate, will be at the Windham Veterans Center from 9 to 11 a.m. to assist veterans in applying for benefits. There is no appointment necessary and the service is free.
Meeting
There was a board meeting in Cumberland, March 26, for the Degree of Pocahontas Great Chiefs of State. Several members had birthdays so they all enjoyed a cake. Members came from East Sebago, Windham and Belfast.
Home
Lew and Joanne Weatherby, Gray Road, returned home April 2 after spending a week in Key West, Florida. They had great weather and had a very nice time.
Barns
A reminder to send your pictures of old Windham barns to Kay Soldier. She is planning to display them at the Historical Society in the spring and summer. You may e-mail Kay at kso48@aol.com or drop her a note at 114 Tandberg Trail if you have information to share.
Birthday
Mike Afthim turned 29 AGAIN on April 2. He celebrated with family and then with his many friends at Thatcher’s Restaurant. Happy 29th!
