Ongoing events:

• Steep Falls Public Library: Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Story hour for toddlers and preschool children is held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Story hour is free and open to the public.

• Active Senior Citizens of Standish holds meetings the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 11 a.m. at the Steep Falls Fire Barn. Lunch is $3 and reservations are required before 9 a.m. the Monday prior to the meeting. To reserve a spot, call Alvida at 642-4929 or June at 727-6215.

• American Legion Standish Memorial Post 128 meets every second and fourth Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Kiwanis Beach Road Club House on Route 25 in Standish. All veterans, past and present, are welcome.

• The Windham Fire Department sponsors a child car seat inspection every third Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the North Windham Fire Station. FMI 892-1912.

Upcoming events:

March 1-31: Curves for Women in Windham is holding its annual food drive during the month of March. Women may join March 1 through the 10th with no service charge -based on an annual contract- when they bring in a full bag of groceries. For those not wishing to join, Curves will be accepting non-perishable, healthy food donations throughout the entire month. At the end of March, all food will be donated to the Windham Food Pantry.

March 22-25: The Lake Region High School Drama Club’s spring production is the musical “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” Show dates are March 22, 23 and 24 at 7 p.m. and March 24 and 25 at 2 p.m. Tickets will be on sale at Hayes True Value in Bridgton, Krainin Real Estate offices in Bridgton, Naples and Raymond and at Lake Region High School. March 24: Food drive benefitting the Windham Food Pantr. Bring all non-perishable food items to Shaw’s Supermarket in Windham from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. FMI call Katie Turpen at 892-8750.

March 24: Windham Land Trust Family Fun Afternoon at Windham Primary School Cafeteria from 1 to 4 p.m. D.J. music for the whole family, games, face painting, refreshments and door prizes. $5 each, children under 5 are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Any questions, call 892-8496.

March 24: Spagetti supper at Highland Church Congregational Church, 1303 Bridgton Road, Westbrook. Meat and meatless sauce, Italian bread, tossed salad, American Chop Suey, brownies and ice cream and beverages. Adults $6. Children under 12. Dinners start at 4:45 and 6 p.m.

March 25: Sebago Days 2007 meeting at Sebago Center Church, Route 107 at 6:30 p.m. New activities and ideas wanted.

March 26: Windham High School Alumni Association will meet at 7 p.m. at the Windham Public Library to start planning for the annual Alumni Banquet. Anyone who attended the high school is welcome.

March 26: Maple Grove Grange meeting at 7 p.m. Refreshments at 6:30 p.m. Sebago Center Church, Route 107. Guest Officers, bring a Skit Night.

March 26: Windham Cancer Support Group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Windham Public Library’s meeting room. The support group is open to anyone who wishes to discuss cancer concerns/issues. March 30: Habitat for Humanity Silent Auction at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Windham. FMI, contact Habitat for Humanity of Greater Portland at 772-2151 or Kathy Sweet in Naples at 693-3252.

March 30: Entertainer Randy Judkins will perform at 7 p.m. at Lake Region High School in a fundraiser for Lake Region High School’s Project Graduation 2007. Project Grad will host a chem.-free night of fun and surprises for the graduation class. Tickets are currently on sale at LRHS, Bridgton Books, Hayes True Value Hardware in Bridgton and K&K Reel Vision Video in Naples. Ticket prices are $10 for general admission and $7 for children under 12.

March 31: There will be an indoor yard sale at Jordan Small Middle School in Raymond from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. This is a benefit organized by a sixth grade community service class to help the Leukemia Foundation. You can rent a table for $10 and keep any proceeds that you sell. There will also be a bake sale and face painting. Any questions or to rent a table, call Barbara Loux at 655-4743 x107.

March 31: The Casco Village Church United Church of Christ is having their monthly public supper at 5 p.m. in their Great Hall on Route 121 in Casco. This supper will include traditional home-made baked beans, casseroles, salads and lots of pies. It is being sponsored by the Casco Village Church Choir and Music Committee. April 2: Schoolhouse Arts Center at Sebago Lake is holding auditions for the musical Guys and Dolls on Monday, April 2, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and on Tuesday, April 3, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Bring a song (with sheet music) to sing and be prepared to do cold readings from the script. April 6, 7: Jordan Small Middle School Drama Club presents the Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical Oklahoma! on Friday, April 6 and Saturday, April 7 starting at 7 p.m. at Jordan Small Middle School in Raymond. Tickets available at the door. Adults and students are $5. Children under 5 are $2. Doors open at 6 p.m. Directed by Marilee Dunklee and Mary Thornton.

April 14, 15: 24th Annual Gem and Mineral Show, presented by the Maine Mineralogical and Geological Society, at the Finley Center, University of New England, 716 Stevens Ave. in Portland. Admission, adults $4. Children under 12, free. Seniors and teens under 18, $3.

April 21: Christ Chapel would like to invite the community on, Saturday at 7 p.m. to enjoy an evening of music and dramaby 19 students of the Berkshire Institute for Christian Studies at the church located at 38 Northern Pines Road, near Crescent Lake in Raymond. Call with questions, 655-5058.

May 11: The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary will hold their 13th Fabric Fair at the Elks Club at 1945 Congress Street in Portland from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get bargain prices on fabric and craft-related items. Also, donations of fabric, patterns, notions, old ties, yarn, buttons, knitting and craft supplies, quilting and sewing books, and all other related items will be accepted April 1-30. To donate, call 773-6910, 883-9780, 283-1568. Funds raised will be used to help children and teenagers and needy families.
