Two Casco men have been indicted for the robbery and kidnapping of a Naples man in January.

A Cumberland County grand jury indicted Jerry Gibson and Dean Tosi Jr., both 25, last week for luring Michael Harmon, 23, to the Bridgton Dunkin’ Donuts Jan. 13, then taking him to Naples, where they stole $3,800 and two rings from him.

Gibson is charged with robbery and kidnapping, both Class A felonies. Tosi faces the same charges, and Class D charges of terrorizing and criminal threatening.

According to statements Harmon made to Bridgton police, Gibson and Tosi drew Harmon to the restaurant with the promise of quick profits from a drug deal. Once there, Tosi forced Harmon into a car driven by Gibson.

As Tosi held a gun to Harmon, the three men drove to a secluded road in Naples. In Naples, Harmon was robbed, and Tosi threatened him and his family if Harmon reported the incident.

Harmon suffered minor injuries in the robbery but refused medical treatment.

While Gibson turned himself in to Bridgton police Jan. 17, the search for Tosi took local police and federal Violent Crimes Task Force officers to Lowell, Mass., where he was captured Feb. 2 at a private residence.

Officers from the Lowell, Mass. Police Department and Massachusetts State Police troopers assisted in Tosi’s arrest.

Gibson was released on $2,000 bail. Tosi, extradited from Massachusetts last month, is being held at the Cumberland County Jail in Portland.
