Birthday Party
Kirsten and Walker Robichaud were born Feb. 29, 2000 (Leap Day). Although they did not officially have a birthday this year, they celebrated their 7th birthday, Saturday, March 3 at 168 Tandberg Trail in Windham.
Along with their mom, Heidi, and sister, Jaycie, they hosted a sliding party with about 25 guests. The weather was perfect. The hill was steep and fast. A barricade was built at the bottom of the hill to prevent sledders from going onto the wet lake. Before the afternoon was over the barricade became a jump which sent several sledders airborne. No one was injured and everyone had fun! Some adults had more fun than the children.
Besides sliding and snowball fights, guests enjoyed a hillside fire and plenty of warm foods along with cake and ice cream. Several guests stayed for a sleepover as well. Kirsten and Walker would like to thank their guests for coming and for the great gifts they brought. A special thank you to Tracy Sweetsir for the wood she provided for the fire and to Mike Afthim for all of his hard work in making the perfect sledding hill!
