Inland Fish and Game Licenses
The city of Westbrook is an agent for the Inland Fish and Games Department and sells all hunting and fishing licenses.
To obtain a hunting license, you must show a Hunter Safety Course card or an old hunting license. Westbrook may sell licenses to anyone who is a resident of Maine; you do not have to buy them in your hometown. Non-resident licenses are also available.
A Junior hunting license is required for age ten and up. A hunter who is 16 years of age and holds a junior hunting license must complete a hunter safety course prior to obtaining an adult license and hunting without adult supervision. This license cannot be issued without seeing the course card.
To obtain an archery license, an archery hunter education course must be completed unless an archery license has been held since 1980.
To issue a license that the city of Westbrook does not have on file, you must show an old license, a hunter safety card or sign an affidavit verifying the appropriate safety course has been completed.
