The Frederick Robie School was built in 1888 on Gray Road in Little Falls. The school, which has been restored as a community center, cost about $3,000. It was named in honor of Gov. Frederick Robie, who donated a bell for the school, which at one time had a cupola. The building served as a school until 1956, when the Little Falls School opened and the town gave the bell to the Little Falls Baptist Church, according to the “The Way It Was In Gorham,” by Bertha B. Willis.
