Steep Falls Public Library: Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Story hour for toddlers and preschool children is held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Story hour is free and open to the public.
Active Senior Citizens of Standish holds meetings the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month at 11 a.m. at the Steep Falls Fire Barn. Lunch is $3 and reservations are required before 9 a.m. the Monday prior to the meeting. To reserve a spot, call Alvida at 642-4929 or June at 727-6215.

Feb. 9, 10: Starting at 7:30 p.m. Director Lillian Lee Morse’s Singers Workshop presents its annual Valentine Cabaret – a celebration of love at the Denmark Arts Center, 50 West Main St., Denmark, ME. Admission $12. FMI 452-2412, or 452-2057.
Feb. 10: The Windham High School Theater Club presents a Broadway Cabaret. Starting at 8 p.m., members of the theater club will perform selected Broadway show tunes at the Windham Union Church on Route 302 – (next to Amato’s). Refreshments are free. Feb. 10, 11: 2007 Maine Home, Remodeling and Garden Show at the Cumberland County Civic Center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Feb. 11: From 2 to 4 p.m. Casco Public Library Winter Workshops will present Growing Fruit in the Home Landscape. Richard Brzozowski from the Cooperative Extension will offer advice about growing a variety of fruits in your own yard. Topic will cover pruning and pest control. FMI call 627-4541.
Feb. 17: Roast Beef Supper at Sebago Lake Congregational Church, Route 35 on Saturday, Feb.17, 5 & 6 p.m. $7.50 adults/$4.50 children. All you can eat. Roast beef, gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw, Italian bread, assorted desserts. FMI 642-4911.
Feb. 17: Knit Wits of Maple Grove Grange in Sebago is hosting the 2nd annual Make a Blanket Day for Project Linus, Sebago Center Community Church 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch served. FMI 787-2489. All sewers and non-sewers volunteers welcome.
