The 350th anniversary of Scarborough is being commemorated by a book to be published in September, and committee organizers are offering a special, limited-edition series to help fund the upfront publishing costs.

A team of volunteer writers, historians and photographers have been involved in the book project, which will feature a compilation of facts, personal remembrances, and much, much more, from maps, photographs and artwork, to reports on the first settlers to an in-depth account of today’s thriving town of Scarborough. Readers will enjoy taking a look back at Scarborough’s 350 years as this book links the past to the present, promising to provide an intimate and fascinating look at the town of Scarborough as it prepares to celebrate its 350th anniversary in July 2008.

Each limited-edition book will be personalized with a lithographed plate displaying the authors’ signatures, and numbered 1-350. A donation of $100 is requested. These books will be sequentially numbered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

For an order form, go to www.Scarborough.me.us and click on the 350th Anniversary Committee; or contact All Points Realtors, 674 US Route 1, Scarborough, telephone 883-5096 ext. 100.
