Lost and found

On Jan. 6, at about 1 p.m., a resident of the Broad Cove area brought a backpack to the police department he saw fall off a Volvo-type car on Shore Road near Wood Road. The bag contained headphones, a pair of sneaker, a maternity fleece, a pair of black pants and $3. The bag is being held at the lost and found in dispatch.

Jan. 1

Nancy Hoyt, 55, Merrimack Place, was arrested at Merrimack Place on warrant charges of operating after suspension, attaching false plates, violating a condition of release and an unpaid fine.

Matthew Ginn, 22, Olde Colony Lane, was issued a summons on Route 77 for an expired registration.

Kimberly Gibson, 52, Ocean House Road, was issued a summons on Shore Road for failing to stop for a stop sign.

Amy Geren, 36, South Street, Gorham, was issued a summons on Scott Dyer Road for failing to produce proof of insurance.

Jennifer Goldfarb-Aronson, 49, Lawson Road, was issued a summons on Shore Road for failing to stop for a stop sign.

Todd Oliver, Scott Dyer Road, was issued a summons on Route 77 for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating after suspension.

Kathryn Hayes-Hallowell, 44, Tall Pine Road, was issued a summons on Route 77 for an uninspected motor vehicle.

Margaret Kennedy, 71, Pheasant Hill Road, was issued a summons on Route 77 for speeding 49 mph in a 25 mph.

Jan. 7

Michael Griswold, 19, Mitchell Road, was issued a summons on Sawyer Street for attaching false plates.

Charleen Morse, 21, Bangor, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for possession of marijuana.

Rescue and fire

Between Jan. 2 and Jan. 8 the Cape Elizabeth Rescue Squad transported two patients to Maine Medical Center and two patients to Mercy Hospital.

On Jan. 2, at about 8 a.m., the fire department responded to a car accident on Shore Road; a mutual aid call in South Portland on Jan. 3 at about 7 p.m.; an oven fire on Cross Hill Road on Jan. 4 at about 2 p.m.; and an activated fire alarm on Mitchell Road on Jan. 8 at about 11 a.m.
