The Long Lake Skating School will begin its sixth season of classes at Bridgton Academy on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007.

Long Lake instructors teach a complete United States Figure Skating Association program for ages 3 through adult and beginner through advanced levels.

The 2007 winter session opens on Jan. 6 with lessons from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Adult skaters are encouraged to sign up; skating promotes physical fitness, balance, coordination and posture. After mastering basic skills, adults can then learn ice-dancing steps and athletic and artistic moves.

The school looks forward to seeing present skaters advance and teaching new skaters in 2007.
