The Southwestern Maine Activities Association recently announced their 2006 girls soccer all-star team.
Windham had three all-star selections: Caitlin O’Brien (senior defense) made the first team, Jessica Taylor (junior forward) was a second team choice, and Riley Graves (sophomore goalkeeper) was an honorable mention.
And Nikki Sewell (senior defense) of Bonny Eagle also was chosen for the team as an honorable mention.
The SMAA all-academic team includes Brenna Clauson, Amanda Day, Kate McPherson, Andrea Parent, and Melissa Roma of Windham; and Lyndie Libby and Emily Sullivan of Bonny Eagle.
The SMAA first team all-star squad included: Rachel Burns (sophomore forward), Kelsey Wilson (senior midfielder), and Caitlyn Butterfield (senior defense) of Gorham; Lexi Udeh and Libby Brackett of Scarborough; Christina Aceto of South Portland; Elise Amioka of Marshwood; Kayla Plante, Colleen Kumka and Danielle Lau of Sanford; Mikayla Call of McAuley; Elizabeth Somma of Cheverus; Nicole Place of Portland; and Elizabeth Deletetsky of Deering.
The second team all-stars included: Nicole Robitaille (senior forward) and Ashley Michaud (senior defense) of Gorham; Allie Aceto (junior midfielder) of Westbrook; Kate Pemberton and Alex Hoy of Scarborough; Jessica Stewart of Thornton; Dana Proscia, Tori Schuytler and Alex Kotch of Cheverus; Kylie Findlay, Brittany Ridge and Casey Monaghan of Portland; Karyn Plante and Kayla Winsor of Sanford; Chelsea Jordan and Kate Carlson of Deering.
Honorable mention selections included: Molly Folan (sophomore midfielder) of Gorham; Emily Wright (sophomore forward); Reegan Brackett, Amanda Daudlin, and Brittany Kane of Scarborough; Jordan Blondin and Jessica Aceto of South Portland; Emily Lodge of Massabesic; Aisha Jones of Biddeford; Courtney Foley of Thornton; Brooke Kravetz of Kennebunk; Kathryn Hess of Cheverus; Alyssa Daigle of Sanford; Andi Logan of Marshwood; Jessie Wentworth of Noble.
