Dec. 1: Open Mic Night at Faith Lutheran Church, 988 Roosevelt Trail, Windham starting at 7 p.m. Everyone welcome, come show off your talents. Musicians, singers, readers, dancers. Refreshments provided. FMI, 892-3769.

Dec. 1-17: The Schoolhouse Arts Center presents Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella.” Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees are at 2 p.m. Tickets are $14/$16. Call 642-3743 for reservations.

Dec. 2: North Windham Union Church hosts their annual Old Fashioned Christmas Fair featuring homespun crafts, books, jewelry, ornaments, a children’s shopping room, baked goods and an extensive silent auction. Dec. 2: First Annual Christmas Fair, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Limington Town Hall on Route 11. Hundreds of brand new Christmas decorations, snow, lights, gifts, etc. for the amazing price of 25 cents. Dec. 2: Spice it up this year with gifts and decorations from the “Deck the Halls” Christmas Fair! from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, Route 121 in Casco Village. Crafts, gifts, baked goods, wreaths, swags, and poinsettias. Take a stroll through the cookie walk and shop at Grandma’s Attic! Have breakfast and have your picture taken with Santa from 8 to 10 a.m. Lobster roll & corn chowder (hot dogs available too!) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Dec. 2: Christmas Fair at St. Ann’s Episcopal Church, Windham. Crafts, knit items, wreaths, silent auction, cookie walk, baked goods, confections, lasagna luncheon.

Dec. 9: One-Day Childbirth Class Offered at Bridgton Hospital. In response to requests from mothers-to-be for a condensed version of the usual eight week Childbirth Class, Bridgton Hospital offers an eight hour, one day, Saturday session.

8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. includes lunch. Course fee is $30 per person or $60 per couple, which is usually covered by healthcare insurance. Class focuses on the process of labor, delivery, Cesarean birth, pain relief in labor, relaxation, etc. Class will be taught by Barbara Henley, R.N.C. The next scheduled class will be offered Jan. 9 and 11. To register for the class, or for further information, call the Special Delivery Family Birthing Unit at Bridgton Hospital, 207-647-6128.

Dec. 9, 10: Southern Maine Volkssporting Association will have a holiday walk in Westbrook, Saturday and Sunday starting at Full Court Press, 855 Main Street, Westbrook. Start time is 4 to 6 p.m. All walkers are invited. Bring your flashlight. This walk is eligible for a River Walk credit.

Dec. 13: Benefit concert for Bondeson family of Steep Falls hosted by Portland Faith Center. The concert will take place at the Hill Gymnasium at USM’s Gorham campus from 7 to 8 p.m. $10 donation. All proceeds go to Bondeson family, which is raising money for their two sons with spina bifada. FMI, www.portlandfaith.org.

Dec. 13: Southern Maine Volkssporting Association holds its regular meeting at 7 p.m., at Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main Street, Westbrook. All members and non-members are invited.

Dec. 14: Girl Scouts of Kennebec Council to Hold Parent Information and Registration Meeting at 7 p.m. at the Congin School Cafeteria in Westbrook. Come and register for Girl Scouts or find out about Girl Scout activities taking place in your community. Registration fee is $10, payable by check. Financial assistance is available for this fee.
