Betty Wyman, of Route 202 in Windham, recently won a trip to Branson, Mo. to enjoy a private Mexican fare dinner with country-western star Mickey Gilley. After dinner Betty (pictured second from right), her daughter Cynthia Kimball of Arkansas, (second from left) and their husbands enjoyed one of Gilley’s shows. Visit
George Libby of New York, visited over the Thanksgiving weekend with his mother, Beulah Mason and her husband, Wes. While here he also visited his sister, Darlene, and family and his brother, Richard and family. He returned home Nov. 26.
Meeting
The Windham Health Council will meet Dec. 13 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Dorothy Millett. Refreshments will be served and anyone is welcomed.
Church Fair
Don’t forget the Christmas Fair Dec. 2 at the North Windham Union Church. There will be crafts, books, baked goods, jewelry and an extensive silent auction. Lunch is also available. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m and for more information you may call 892-6142.
Birthday
Linda Saunders celebrated her birthday Nov. 21. She enjoyed dinner with friends and her husband, Bob, at Thatchers Restaurant.
Meeting
The Rebekah Lodge No. 71 will meet Dec. 6 at the Odd Fellows Hall at 7:30 p.m. The program will be in honor of the founders of the Rebekahs and Odd Fellows, Thomas Wilder and Schuyler Colfax.
Limousine Trip
Paul Reggep, manager of Atlas Auto, and his friend Carol of Saco, Lew and Joanne weatherby, Will and Marcia Blanchard all of Windham and Lew’s sister and brother-in-law, Sadie and David Ramsay of Cornish enjoyed a limousine trip to the Rochester Opera House in New Hampshie Nov. 18. They dined at a very friendly restaurant and attended a one-woman show with Susan Poulin, “Ida: Woman Who Runs With Moose” at the Opera House. The limousine was from Sebago Limousine and the driver was great.
Rabies Clinc
There will be a Rabies Clinic at the Windham Town Hall Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. All shots are $10 per animal. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers. The Town Clerk’s office staff will be there to license Windham dogs for 2007.
