John MacKenzie, a sophomore from Gorham, played for the Bates College football team. They went 1-7 this fall.

Ben Thayer, a sophomore from Gorham, plays forward for the Bates men’s basketball team. Last year he appeared in 18 games, averaging 5.6 minutes per game. His free throw percentage was .571. So far this year the team is 2-0.

Danielle Gagnon, a junior from Gorham, plays for the Bates women’s basketball team as a guard. Her team is 2-0 so far this season.

Patrick King, a freshman out of Gorham, starred on the Bates men’s Soccer team. He made 15 starts this year and scored one goal and two points. The team finished the year at 8-6-2.

Marcus Ziemann, a sophomore from Westbrook, is on the Bowdoin College swim team this winter. The season has just gotten underway and the Polar Bears are 1-1.

Elissa Gervais, a sophomore from Gorham, is competing for the Bowdoin women’s indoor track and field team. Their season kicks off on December 9 at the University of Southern Maine.

Madison Gouzie, a junior from Westbrook, will compete on the Colby College indoor track team. Their season starts January 13 at Bowdoin.

Regina Wohl, a junior from Westbrook, plays for the Colby women’s basketball team. The team has opened the season 0-2.

Jason Hight, a junior out of Westbrook, is playing for the men’s basketball team at the University of Maine in Orono as a guard. So far this season the team is off to a 1-3 start.

Johannah O’Malley, a freshman from Gorham, ran for the UMaine cross country team this fall. The Black Bears managed just one first place finish.

Bobby Donnelly, a junior from Westbrook, spent the fall as a kicker on the UMaine football team. He had six kickoffs this season with an average kick of 48.83 yards.

Philip Reed, a freshman from Gorham, spent the fall season with the UMaine men’s soccer team as a midfielder. He had three shots and one goal as the team went 0-17.

Kyle McKague, a freshman from Buxton, will be a thrower on the UMaine indoor track team. Their season gets underway December 9 at the University of New Hampshire.

Joseph Shepard, a senior from Westbrook, will be a sprinter for UMaine’s indoor track team.

Katie Donnelly, a freshman from Westbrook, will be hurdling and jumping this winter for the UMaine indoor track team.

Rachel McCaslin, a junior from Westbrook, will be jumping and running sprints for the UMaine indoor track team this winter.

Micralyn Wiechman, a sophomore from Buxton, is a thrower on this year’s indoor track team at UMaine.
