Road rage

On Sept. 17, at about 9:59 a.m., an officer met with two residents of the Mitchell Road area, who reported a case of road rage while they were bicycling on Route 77. According to the residents, while on their bicycles at an intersection, a vehicle came up behind them blaring the horn and passed within a couple feet of them, despite the fact there was no other traffic. A registration number was obtained and the case is under further investigation.

Mystery Volvo

On Sept. 19, at about 6:30 p.m., a visitor reported to a Fort Williams park ranger that a man in a dark blue Volvo station wagon with Maine conservation plates backed into a section of the wood fence near the lighthouse at the park. Two horizontal sections of the fence were knocked over but undamaged, and a vertical post was cracked.

Stolen furniture

On Sept. 21, at about 9 a.m., a resident of the Mitchell Road area reported the theft of a wicker table with a glass top, a smaller wicker table and two wicker chairs during the previous night. The items were in the driveway in front of the garage door.

Bat attack

On Sept. 23, at about 7:03 p.m., an officer responded to a complaint from a resident of the Ocean House Road area concerning a bat that had been in the residence for about two days. The officer captured the bat and sent it to Augusta for a rabies testing. The test came back negative.

Unsuccessful entry

On Sept. 23, at about 11 a.m., a resident of the Shore Road area reported that someone had broken into the basement area but was unable to gain access to the house. The case is under further investigation.

Sept. 20

Kurt G. Parks, 43, of 6 Brookview Ave., was issued a summons on Stephenson Street for violation of protection from abuse order and a violation of conditional release.

Sept. 21

Alexander Kay, 29, of 32 State St., Portland, was issued a summons on Scott Dyer Road for an unregistered motor vehicle.

Jason Lund, 33, of PO Box 251, Windham, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for a seatbelt violation.

Colleen Foley, 31, of 63 Elmwood Ave., South Portland, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for an uninspected motor vehicle.

Sept. 22

Shawn Ruhlin, 21, of 409 Sodom Road, Norway, was issued a summons on Shore Road for speeding 44 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Sept. 23

John Disanto, 23, of 71 Thornton Ave., South Portland, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for speeding 39 mph in a 30 mph zone and possession of marijuana.

Sept. 24

A 15-year-old South Portland male was issued a summons on Spurwink Avenue for possession of marijuana.

Arthur Galli, 51, of 21 Griffin Road, Freeport, was issued a summons on Spurwink Avenue for failing to produce insurance.

Christopher Pezzullo, 42, of 28 Stonegate Road, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for speeding 42 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Arrests

Sept. 20

Kurt G. Parks, 43, of 6 Brookview Ave., Fort Fairfield, was arrested on Stephenson Street for violation of protection from abuse order and a violation of conditional release.

Fire and Rescue

The Cape Rescue squad responded to six calls between Sept. 19 and Sept. 25. One patient required no transport, one patient was transported to Mercy Hospital and four were transported to Maine Medical Center.

The Cape Elizabeth Fire Department responded to a mutual aid call in South Portland at 1:40 a.m. on Sept. 25; and an automobile accident on Ocean House Road at 7:42 a.m. on Sept. 25.
