I’ll wait

On Sept. 10, at about 11:30 p.m., police were called to the Irving gas station on Route 1. A man and a woman were fighting, slamming doors and yelling. When police arrived, the man ran into the woods behind the station. The police then called his cell phone, and he told them he would wait until his father came from New Hampshire to pick him up.

A drive on the beach

On Sept. 13, at about 7:50 a.m., residents on Houghton Street reported that someone had driven onto Higgins Beach, and in the process had damaged both the fence and a road sign.

Locker room theft

On Sept. 14, at about 9:15 a.m., a student reported that her pants were stolen from the Scarborough High School locker room. Also stolen were her iPod and cell phone that were in the pockets. There are no actual lockers in the room, only cubbies for belongings. Police will review security cameras placed outside the door to find potential suspects.

Stolen ring

On Sept. 16, at about 6:30 p.m., a woman on Coralburst Lane reported that her $6,515 wedding ring was stolen from the jewelry box on top of her dresser. No doors or windows were found open.
