A story that appeared on the front page of last week’s American Journal, “Police chase ends in fatal crash,” incorrectly described the actions of a police officer as he pursued a car that later collided with a bus in Scarborough. The driver of the vehicle being pursued went through a stop light at Saco Street and Route 22 at 60 mph. The officer pursuing the car stopped at the light and then proceeded in pursuit of the vehicle, in accordance with the Westbrook Police Department’s chase policy.
