Two events scheduled on the same day will help residents clean out their closets, replenish their children’s wardrobe and help neighbors in need.

Both the Project GRACE children’s clothing swap and the Project GRACE yard sale will be held Saturday, Sept. 9.

The clothing swap is from 8 a.m.-noon at St. Nicholas Church, 305 US Route 1 in Scarborough. The event is for those who have children’s clothing in good condition to donate, or those needing children’s clothing. Donated clothes can be dropped off only on Sept. 9, starting at 8 a.m.

The yard sale will be held from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at First Choice Home Loans, 432 US Route 1 in Scarborough. Donations of items for the sale can be dropped off at the site on Friday, Sept. 8 or Saturday, Sept. 9.

Proceeds benefit Project GRACE, which uses local donations to help financially struggling families and individuals with needs that are not met by other governmental and non-profit services. For more information, call 883-5111.
