European access

On Aug. 9, at about 9 p.m., a resident of the Mitchell Road area complained that a personal debit card had been used several times in Europe. After being notified, the bank credited the account and stopped the activity.

Auto break-in

On Aug. 13, at about 4:30 p.m., a vehicle was broken into in the area of Belfield Road and Shore Road. A side window was smashed and a purse removed. The purse was later recovered by the roadside in South Portland with only cash missing.

Beach party

On Aug. 15, at about 7:25 a.m., a representative of Crescent Beach State Park reported the lifeguard station had been tipped over, and the front steps ripped off and broken into two pieces. The area around the lifeguard station also was littered with beer cans.

Dog fight

On Aug. 16, at about 9:20 a.m., a resident of the Belfield Road area complained a dog attacked and bit her dog while they were walking in Robinson Woods. The resident immediately took her dog to the vet. The case is being investigated.

Kettle Cove assault

On Aug. 18, at about 9:41 p.m., a resident in the Kettle Cove Road area reported an assault. Two males and a female were at the scene. The female said she saw nothing, and the males, one of whom appeared intoxicated, agreed to complete statements. The subjects were allowed to leave, but the case was forwarded to the district attorney’s office for review.

Family fight

On Aug. 20, at about 11:20 a.m., a domestic dispute was reported in the Shore Road area. An adult son was allowed to collect some belongings and leave the residence. He was advised not to return, and the parent was advised to obtain a protection order from the court.

Arrests

Aug. 22

Deborah H. Dluhy, 66, Belmont, Mass., was arrested on Two Lights Road on charges of operating under the influence.

Summonses

Aug. 16

Nancy Markowitz, 57, 11 Hunts Point Rd., was issued a summons on Route 77 for failing to produce proof of insurance.

James Gooch, 32, 196 Brackett St., Portland, was issued a summons on Shore Road for operating after suspension.

Aug. 18

Robert Robinson, 29, 17 Tiger Lily Lane, was issued a summons on Sawyer Road for speeding 39 mph in a 30 mph zone.

Aug. 20

Patricia Kinkade, 46, 16 Grove St., Kennebunk, was issued a summons on Route 77 for failing to produce proof of insurance.

Aug. 21

Stanley Thomas, 23, Short Hills, N.J., was issued a summons on Route 77 for speeding 65 mph in a 45 mph zone.

Fire and Rescue

The Cape Rescue Squad responded to 13 calls between Aug. 15 and Aug. 22. Twelve patients were transported to Maine Medical Center and one required no transportation.

The Cape Fire Department responded to an activated fire alarm on Old Sea Point Lane at 6:47 p.m. on Aug. 17; an unpermitted burn on Tiger Lilly Lane at 9:41 p.m. on Aug. 17; an automobile accident on Spurwink Avenue at 12:02 a.m. on Aug. 18; a motor vehicle accident on Shore Road at 10:15 a.m. on Aug. 20; an unattended burn on Ocean House Road at 6:23 p.m. on Aug. 20; and a call for assistance from Scarborough at 9:39 on Aug. 21.
