Stolen engine

On Aug. 7 at about 4:20 a.m., a cement mixer engine valued at $1,000 was reported stolen from a construction site at Gallery Boulevard and Spring Street.

Loud singing

On Aug. 7 at about 3:40 p.m., a resident of Sea Rose Lane called to report that a woman had been singing loudly for over an hour. When police arrived, the woman had stopped and no music was playing.

Pool theft

On Aug. 10 at about 1 p.m., an inflatable pool was reported stolen from the Christmas Tree Shop on Payne Road.

Vandalism

On Aug. 10 at about 1:20 p.m., three cars were reported damaged at Scarborough Auto Parts on Holmes Road. One car’s windshield was smashed, and a second car had two windows broken. On a third car, side mirrors were torn off, the interior was slashed and inside door panels were removed. The total damage was estimated at about $1,375.

E-mail threat

On Aug. 12 at about 5 a.m., a Scarborough woman reported receiving threatening e-mails from a co-worker. One of the e-mails said, “Enjoy the next 24 hours, after that the war is on.” The woman was told to take out a protection order against the sender.

Steven H. Hebert, 48, of Rochester Street, Westbrook, was arrested on Rochester Street on a warrant charge of failing to appear for operating under the influence and operating without a license.

Joseph P. Williams, 29, Naomi Street, Sebago, was arrested on County Road on a charge of operating after suspension.

Aug. 10

Paul R. Day, 58, of Roosevelt Trail, Windham, was arrested on Schooner Road on a charge of leaving the scene of accident.
