Nearly 2,500 people attended the seven Concerts In The Park held at the Memorial Park Gazebo, making 2006 the most successful season in our seven-year history. The Scarborough Community Chamber and our partner, Scarborough Community Services, would like to thank all who attended, as well as our sponsors and volunteers. They all helped make this year’s series a true community event.

The concerts were made possible by the gracious support of local businesses, including platinum sponsors Saco & Biddeford Savings Institution, Scarborough Downs, Biddeford Savings Bank, Sam’s Club, Dunkin’ Donuts, Edward Jones Investments, Pet Quarters and Scarborough Lions Club. Contributing sponsors included Acapello Salons, Allied Home Mortgage, Hannaford Supermarkets, Haven’s Candies, Inspect It First, Key Bank, Pizzagalli Construction Co., Pine Point Center For Health Care, Rivergreen Bank, Romeo’s Pizza, Scarborough Economic Development Corp., Sign A Rama, Sudzie Autowash and Tim Byrne Photography.

Special thanks go out to concert committee members Art Dillon, Julie Bassett, Tim Byrne and Val Jacob, who worked throughout the winter and spring planning the series. We’d also like to thank Steve Quirk, Jim Doane and John Rice for their concert night and technical assistance, and Scarborough Volunteers In Public Service for traffic and parking coordination.

See you next year.

Kevin Freeman, president

Scarborough Community Chamber
