Coach Russell’s Take: “Trever generally comes in as a pinch runner and he has played some outfield. I think in the regional games he came in to pinch run three times and scored each time he came in. That’s an aspect where he adds to this team. His strength is his character, his speed and he’s a good fielder as well.”

No. 3 Zachery Collett

Position(s): Second base, pitcher

Coach Russell’s Take: “Zach is probably the purest hitter on our team. He’s the guy that always comes up with the clutch hit. I never feel scared with him at the plate and guys on base.”

No. 4 Matthew Cottrell

Position(s): Utility, pinch runner

Coach Russell’s Take: “He’s like the firecracker of this team. He gets everyone wound up cheering whether he gets in the game or not. He busts his butt every practice. He’s a character and part of the heart of this team. He is outfield reserve, a middle infield reserve. He can do it all.”

No. 5 Reid Coulombe

Position(s): Utility

Coach Russell’s Take: “Reid, in my eyes, is probably one of the best bunters on our team. I wouldn’t hesitate to pinch hit for anyone if the situation called for a bunt. He’s a smart player and knows the game, constantly talking and learning the game. I could see him coaching in the majors one day.”

No. 6 Nick Finocchiaro

Position(s): Catcher, pitcher

Coach Russell’s Take: “I call him ‘The General.’ He does a great job of leading on the field. He keeps everything in front of him and he has a gun from behind the plate. He was struggling hitting at the beginning but we’ve worked through that.”

No. 7 Zachery Gardiner

Position(s): Shortstop, closer

Coach Russell’s Take: “He has one of the best gloves on the team. He plays an outstanding shortstop. The footwork he has at the position is better than some of the best varsity player I’ve seen play.”

No. 8 Jacob Gardiner

Position(s): First base, third base

Coach Russell’s Take: “Last year on the Little League World Series team he played first base. We’ve moved him to third because we want to have someone quick that can handle bunts and back and cover the base. He’s a good contact hitter.”

No. 9 Scott Heath

Position(s): Center field, pitcher

“He is a phenomenal kid. He’s smooth, a great pitcher and a smart player. He’s a humble kid and he brings it and shows it on the field. He generally plays centerfield and covers tons of ground, but he could play anywhere we put him.”

No. 10 Thomas Lemay

Coach Russell’s Take: “He’s streaky with the bat but as of late he’s been hitting well. In the final game of regionals he was 3 for 4. He’s a good base runner and a bright kid too.”

No. 11 Jarred Martin

Coach Russell’s Take: “He’s one of those players. He’s a character like Matt Cottrell. He challenges the other kids during practice and makes the starters better.”

No. 12 Michael Mowatt

Coach Russell’s Take: “He is an outstanding kid. He has incredible power with the bat. We hide him lower in the lineup but when he gets a hold of the ball it just goes. He strikes out a little bit but you have to take the good with the bad. He is solid defensively in the outfield and probably the fastest player on the team.

No. 13 Sean Murphy

Position(s): Pitcher, right field, third base

Coach Russell’s Take: “If I had to give an MVP from the districts through regionals it would be Sean. He’s pitched outstanding; he’s one of our aces. He has come up with huge hits for us. He plays outfield when he’s not pitching, and we’re going to work him at third base during the Series too.”

No. 14 Joe Royer

Position(s): First base, pitcher

Coach Russell’s Take: “Joey was a reserve for the most part last year, but I’m a big fan of lefties playing first base. The way he is playing defensively at first base it allows us to keep (Jake) at third. He’s the key to the whole infield right now. He had an arm injury at the end of the World Series last year, but he’s pitching outstanding. He started the first regional game.”

No. 15 Matt Wiemer

Position(s): Outfield

Coach Russell’s Take: “He has a lot of strong points, most notably his bat. He missed some time in the beginning but he is really catching up with us now. He has a good bat and he’s another outfield glove that we feel comfortable putting in there.”
