Canine caper

On July 24 at 2 p.m., an Elizabeth Farm neighborhood resident complained about a dog bite. The owner of the dog was contacted and issued a 10-day quarantine notice for the dog.

Rock assault

On July 19 a Wells Road area resident reported that during the previous night a rock had been thrown through the window. The damage was estimated at $500.

Wandering wallet

On July 21 at about 4 p.m., a ranger at Fort Williams turned over a wallet to the police department. The owner was contacted and the wallet returned.

Rusty revolvers

On July 27 at about 2 p.m., a property caretaker reported finding two handguns in a toolbox in a garage where he was working. The handguns were covered in rust and appeared inoperable.

Projectile pastry

On July 28 at about 8:07 a.m., a town employee reported a car in motion whose driver threw a piece of pastry at an occupied school bus in motion. The witness followed the suspect vehicle to a residence in Peabbles Cove area. The suspect driver was contacted by an officer who asked the subject to refrain from using profanity while discussing the incident. The suspect was working for a private contractor who terminated him.

Jeremie Montgomery, 26, 59 Sky Drive, Windham, was issued a summons on Route 77 for speeding 44 mph in a 35 mph zone.

Morgan Robert, 37, 14 Hannaford Cove Road, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for possession of marijuana.

Carlos Salamanca, 29, PO BOX 11309, Portland, was issued a summons on Route 77 for a seatbelt violation.

Blanca Garcia, 27, 845 Congress St., Portland, was issued a summons on Route 77 for leaving the scene of a property damage accident and operating without a license.

Joseph Cotter, 79, 11 Running Tide, was issued a summons on Two Lights Road for speeding 54 mph in a 35 mph zone.

William S. Conley, 46, of 39 Center St., South Portland, was arrested on Route 77 on a charge of disorderly conduct.

Sarah J. Sandwick, of Plattsbugh, N.Y., was arrested on Ocean House Road on a charge of failing to appear for operating under the influence.

July 30

Blanca Garcia, of 845 Congress St., Portland, was arrested on Route 77 on charges of operating a motor vehicle without a license and leaving the scene of an accident.

The Cape Rescue Squad responded to nine calls between July 25 and July 30. Three patients were transported to Mercy Hospital, one was transported to Maine Medical Center and five required no transport. The Cape Water Extraction Team responded to a water search and rescue at Fort Williams Park at 12:39 p.m. on July 28.

The Cape Fire Department responded to a ruptured gas line on Ocean View Road at 11:56 a.m. on July 27; power lines down on Longfellow drive at 3:38 p.m. on July 27; a motor vehicle accident on Ocean House Road at 6:01 p.m. on July 30; a motor vehicle accident on Ocean House Road at 10:22 p.m. on July 30; an appliance problem on Ocean View Road at 10:43 p.m. on July 30.
