Hats off to Town Manager Ron Owens and Scarborough’s planning department. Having finished the planning process for the new Mercedes showroom on Route 1 that opened for business Friday, June 30, I can honestly say that in my 35-plus years in the car business, I don’t think I’ve ever been through such a professional review.

I have found Scarborough’s town officials to be meticulous but fair. I hope the people of Scarborough are pleased by the aesthetic improvement to the land, and the economic contribution to the tax base that this business will make. More importantly, I am tickled to death to be part of this fabulous community.
