The South Windham fire station was built in 1934 replacing the old hose house which once stood beside Patsy’s store (now an apartment building) at the corner of Depot Street and Route 202. This first structure burned in 1936 and the second station was built in 1937 on the same site. When it fell into disrepair, a new station was built in 1968.
