Jeb Neal Knight of Standish has graduated magna cum laude from Marymount Manhattan College in New York City on May 25 with a bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts.

Knight is the son of Erlon and Terry Knight of Standish and a 2002 graduate of Bonny Eagle High School. His grandparents are Neal and Bevalie Marean of Standish and Bernard Knight of Buxton. Marjorie M. Poole of Standish is his proud great grandmother.

Baccalaureate was held at the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle in New York where Knight received an award from Omicron Delta Kappa National Leadership Honor Society and the Silver M, which is awarded to seniors who have shown overall leadership and involvement at Marymount Manhattan College. Knight received Gold Keys for Academic Excellence in both Studio Art and Theatre Studies and membership in the Curian Honor Society, which is based on faculty approval and awarded to seniors who have maintained a highlevel of academic excellence.

Commencement was held at Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts where Knight’s parents and grandparents were able to enjoy all the activities as well as view his art work which was on display at the Black and White Gallery on East 71st Street.
