Bob Marley, one of New England’s favorite stand-up comics, launches a series of Maine shows when he performs Thursday, July 13, at Deertrees Theater in Harrison.

Marley, a Maine native and University of Maine at Farmington graduate, performs constantly throughout the country. He is in the midst of a typically busy year of touring, with stops most recently in Washington, D.C. and Las Vegas. In March, he spent a week in China performing in Shanghai and Beijing.

Marley uses biographical and observational material, much of it gleaned from his family and life in Maine, for his stand-up routines. Named one of Variety’s “10 Comics to Watch,” Marley has also appeared in several films, including the cult favorite, “Boondock Saints.”
