Last week, Point Sebago Resort officials and local business leaders attended the official ribbon cutting ceremony of Point Sebago’s new Welcome Center.

Point Sebago will greet visitors and guests in style this year in this all-new center. The new building houses the reservations and guest services offices, group sales office, and Club Sebago Association office servicing 225 home owners, administrative offices and a conference room.

“This is an exciting time for us as we constantly are working to improve our guests’ experience and this news Welcome Center allows us to greet our guests properly and give the quality first impression our resort deserves,” commented Resort General Manager Don Toms.

The new Welcome Center was one part of more than $1.5 million in improvements at Point Sebago Resort this off-season. Other exciting additions and upgrades at Point Sebago this season include a new Outdoor Sports Center. This new sports and recreation area now features six tennis courts, 12 shuffleboard courts, eight horseshoe pits, three deep-sand volleyball courts, a basketball court, washer toss courts, a new equipment center and a refreshment stand.

The Resort has opened a new Business Center designed to help guests stay in touch with the office. The new Business Center, located adjacent to Sebago Square, features a computer for Internet and Email access, a phone, fax and copy machine.

Other upgrades and improvements at Point Sebago for 2006 include: the first 9-holes of the Championship Golf Course cart paths were 100 percent paved making this award winning course even better.

The 18-hole Miniature Golf Center has been renovated and upgraded, and beachfront parking has been expanded to accommodate additional golf carts and cars.
